A US Federal judge has just ruled that the government has effectively denied blind people any meaningful access to money due to the fact that all bills have the same shape and texture.
The US treasury has been ordered to begin working on a solution to the problem within 10 days. Possible solutions that have been suggested include the use of different size bills, foiling the paper, and/or using raised ink to allow everyone to tell bills apart by touch.
