Last night my wife went out for a few hours with her friends, and was horrified when I told her exactly where she went, heh. I wish I would’ve kept this secret for a little while longer Oh well. Check it out and tell me what you think.

For only $20, you can build a hovercraft in your backyard. Learn how!!
Do you dream of gliding through the air? Then don’t miss today’s show when Chris explains how to build your own hovercraft. The project is ultrasimple — your kids can put it together in the backyard.
What is a hovercraft?
A hovercraft is a vehicle that rides on a cushion of air produced by downwardly directed fans, causing it to glide over surfaces.
How a homemade hovercraft works
Air produced by a small blower inflates a plastic sheet. The sheet pushes against the floor to provide a ground-hugging “skirt.” This skirt lifts the entire hovercraft.
A small plastic disk (or coffee-can lid) keeps the inflated plastic anchored so it doesn’t tear loose from the center. The plastic disk also lifts up vent holes so air can escape into the center.

Yeah, we get pretty excited when we see a phone like this too — the tilting screen and plethora of buttons make it clear that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill handset — but like so many other hot devices out there (save for Nokia’s N-series of multimedia computers), Samsung’s SCH-B550 entertainment powerhouse will likely never venture beyond the Korean peninsula. Besides the usual assortment of features you’d expect from any halfway-decent Asian cellphone these days — MP3 player, two megapixel camera, and of course, Bluetooth — the B550 also delivers a number of value-added extras, not the least of which are a DMB TV receiver (with video out) and what sounds like some pretty serious gaming capabilities.
On the surface you have a key and screen layout that are most conducive to gaming, but beyond that, a 3D graphics processor ensures that you’ll feel like you’re really committing a crime when playing that Marc Ecko graffiti title. In the end, though, it’s the game selection that will make or break this model, so until we hear about an imminent Gears of Wars port, we couldn’t say whether or not we’d be willing to toss our smartphone to the curb for the flashy B550. Unfortunately, only available in Korea.

LONDON, England (Reuters) — An ancient astronomical calculator made at the end of the 2nd century BC was amazingly accurate and more complex than any instrument for the next 1,000 years, scientists said on Wednesday.
The Antikythera Mechanism is the earliest known device to contain an intricate set of gear wheels. It was retrieved from a shipwreck off the Greek island of Antikythera in 1901 but until now what it was used for has been a mystery.
Although the remains are fragmented in 82 brass pieces, scientists from Britain, Greece and the United States have reconstructed a model of it using high-resolution X-ray tomography.
They believe their findings could force a rethink of the technological potential of the ancient Greeks.
