sick

Have you ever wished that you could take a sick day without having to actually get your lazy ass out of bed to make the call in the morning? We’ll admit it, we have. Really, who hasn’t?

Our agents just learned of a new service that allows you to call in sick without having to actually make the call yourself. It’s a website called Call-In-Sick.com. The concept is freakin’ ingenious. Frankly, we can’t believe someone hasn’t thought of this sooner! The site’s instructions couldn’t be simpler. Your dog could make this call for you, although we wouldn’t recommend it.

Download of the Day: FaviconizeTab (Firefox)

Tuesday, November 21, 2006 3:52 am

Favicon

Windows/Mac/Unix (Firefox): The FaviconizeTab extension reduces the width of specified tabs to only its favicon to save space in the tab bar.

Set those tabs you always have open to just their icon - like Gmail, Lifehacker, or Google Reader - to make room for other tabs’ titles that you actually need to read. Once the extension is installed, right-click to Faviconize it. FaviconizeTab will also remember which tabs you’ve iconized next time you launch the ‘fox if you have Firefox set up to restore your previous session. FaviconizeTab is a free download, works wherever Firefox does. — Gina Trapani

Free Fonts

I think that I might’ve stumbled into the font mother lode over at SearchFreeFonts.com, a treasury of over 13,000 (!) free downloadable fonts.

The best way to sort through this font cornucopia would be to check out the Categories, where you’re presented with a nice and tidy list ranging from Script to Typewriter; you can search alphabetically as well if you know the name of the font you’re looking for.
