Tom Cruise is the Jesus of Scientology - WWTCD

It’s official - Tom Cruise is divine. In a week in which we hardly need reminding that religion is the answer, not the problem, there is excellent news for imbeciles, or “Scientologists” as the sect’s leaders euphemistically insist on referring to its followers. Specifically, Tom Cruise is the new Jesus. Right backatcha, Richard Dawkins!
If you believe reports, the deeply sane Mission Impossible star has been told by church bigwigs that he is the “chosen one”, and destined to spread the word of Scientology around the world. Cynics are instructed to put aside the image of Terry Jones squawking, “He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very disturbed man!” and just acknowledge how much more resonant the whole water-into-wine thing would have been if Jesus had been able to do cool bar tricks like Tom’s character in Cocktail. Or, perhaps, like Tom’s commanding officer in Top Gun, you believe Jesus’s ego was writing cheques his body couldn’t cash, and that the whole Messiah myth will be reinvigorated by an entertainment personality with a better understanding of the need for an “up” ending.

Saddam Has Fiesty Exchange at Gallows

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqis awoke Saturday to television images of a noose being slipped over
Saddam Hussein’s neck and his white-shrouded body, the pre-dawn work of black-hooded hangmen. They went to bed as new video emerged showing Saddam exchanging taunts with onlookers before the gallows floor dropped away and the former dictator swung from the rope.

In Baghdad’s Shiite neighborhood of Sadr City, victims of his three decades of autocratic rule took to the streets to celebrate, dancing, beating drums and hanging Saddam in effigy. Celebratory gunfire erupted across other Shiite neighborhoods in Baghdad and other predominantly Shiite regions of the country.
There was no sign of a feared Sunni uprising in retaliation for the execution, and the bloodshed from civil warfare was not far off the daily average — 92 from bombings and death squads.
Outside the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Ramadi, west of the capital, loyalists marched with Saddam pictures and waved Iraqi flags. Defying curfews, hundreds took to the streets vowing revenge in Samarra, north of Baghdad, and gunmen paraded and fired into the air in support of Saddam in Tikrit, his hometown.

The phenomenon of teachers accused or convicted of having sex with their students has come to the forefront of national and international news in recent years.
Some of the cases involving women have been chronicled by WND, including:
Adrianne Hockett: Accused of having sex with a 16-year-old special-needs student in a Houston apartment she rented for the get-togethers. The boy has testified the pair would “have sex, drink beer and smoke weed.”
Amber Jennings, 31: Though Jennings was initially charged with having sex with a 16-year-old, the counts against the Sturbridge, Mass., woman were reduced to a single charge of disseminating harmful materials to a minor. She reportedly admitted e-mailing naked photos of herself to a former student. She received no jail time, only two years of probation after pleading guilty.

Road Taxes at Work !!

This is the Russian Federal highway, Moscow city to Yakutsk City.
The road doesn’t have asphalt surface, though it is a vital Federal highway.
Everytime it rains, the traffic flow gets paralized; these shots were made a few days before the traffic jam of 600 cars got stuck there. Hunger and lack of the fuel followed, according to the witnesses. One woman gave birth to a child right in the public bus she was riding on.
Construction teams were afraid to appear on site because during their previous visit they were beaten by people who were stuck for a few days. People were breaking the locks on the trucks, in search of food and warm clothes. Fuel, food, firearms and steel tow-line are the things that are needed most these days on this Federal highway.
I will never complain about a pothole again!

ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia Supreme Court has turned down an appeal from a teen who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having sex with a 15-year-old.
In a ruling released Friday, the court denied a motion for reconsideration filed by lawyers for Genarlow Wilson, who was 17 when he and the 15-year-old engaged in consensual oral sex. He was sentenced for aggravated child molestation.
Wilson’s case was one of two cases that were cited earlier this year when lawmakers passed a law that otherwise strengthened penalties for sex offenders, but reduced the penalty from a felony to a misdemeanor for some teenagers convicted of sodomy.
Presiding Justice Carol Hunstein noted that in easing the penalties for teens, ‘‘the Legislature expressly chose not to allow the provisions of the new amendments to affect persons convicted under the previous version of the statute.’’
Hunstein added she was ‘‘very sympathetic to Wilson’s argument regarding the injustice of sentencing this promising young man with good grades and no criminal history to 10 years in prison without parole and a lifetime registration as a sexual offender because he engaged in consensual oral sex with a 15-year-old victim only two years his junior,’’ but said the court was bound the by limits set by the Legislature. ———

Picking Your Nose - Do we all do it?

Now I’m sure that we all know how one goes about picking their nose, so we can skip the step-by-step instructions.
We’ve all caught someone at sometime picking their nose. Some try to do it in secret. Others do it openly without embarrassment. Maybe even you have been caught in the act.
Nose-picking is one disgusting habit and is certainly not socially acceptable. So, are these people normal?
One would guess that this is not the type of thing researched at our institutions of higher learning.
